Privacy Policy

How we handle information when you visit, donate, or request assistance.

Last updated October 12, 2026

Scope

This notice describes information handled through KHAYR Foundation’s website, donor services, and assistance application services. Separate notices shown during a particular process may explain that process in more detail.

Information you provide

Depending on the service you use, information may include your name, email address, contact details, account information, donation history, and communications with our team. Assistance requests may include your explanation of financial hardship, household and financial details, supporting documents, and identity verification information. Provide only information relevant to your request. Do not send identity documents by ordinary email.

Payments and accounts

Donations are processed through Stripe. Payment details are submitted through the payment provider’s checkout, while KHAYR receives donation and transaction information needed to maintain records. Account sign-in uses an authentication provider. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

Website requests, cookies, and analytics

Your browser contacts our hosting services to load pages and a public storage service to retrieve aggregate statistics. Styles, icons, fonts, and scripts may load from third-party content services, including Google Fonts and jsDelivr. These services receive technical information associated with the request, such as your IP address. Account and payment services may use cookies or browser storage for their functions. The landing page uses Google Analytics to measure page views, navigation and call-to-action clicks, scroll depth, section views, and interactions with FAQs. Google may process browser and device information and use cookies or similar technologies for analytics. We will update this notice if our analytics practices change.

How information is used

Information supports account access, donation processing and recordkeeping, assistance review, identity checks, communications, fraud prevention, security, and organizational reporting. Technology may help organize requests or support staff review; assistance decisions remain subject to human review.

Who may receive information

Information may be available to authorized staff and service providers that support hosting, storage, authentication, payments, communications, and application review. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or the protection of people and services. Public transparency reporting uses aggregate operational figures rather than applicants’ personal details.

Retention and security

Donation, account, and assistance records may need to be retained for operational, accounting, security, and legal purposes. No website or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your requests and choices

Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to ask about communications preferences. We may need to verify your identity, and some records may need to be retained. Do not include identity documents or detailed financial information in your initial email.

Children and family information

The website is not designed for children under 13 to create accounts or submit personal information independently. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us. An assistance request may include relevant household information provided by the person submitting the request.

Updates and contact

We will update this page as practices change and revise the date shown above. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
